WELCOME

The City Showtunes Orchestra is an amateur orchestra based in the elegant surroundings of St Mary Aldermary Church in The City of London near St Paul's. Rehearsing once a week each term, we draw our lighthearted repertoire from musicals, movies and popular classics. We give two concerts a year, usually in early summer and at Christmas time.

NEWS

We're back!

We are delighted to start rehearsals again after our pandemic-imposed pause. Rehearsals are on Monday evenings 6.45-8.15pm.  If you're interested in joining us, please get in touch!

We're looking forward to playing to a full church again, as we did for our Christmas concert, which included songs and medleys from Love Actually, Home Alone and Jersey Boys to name a few. We are proud to have raised £1298 for our nominated charities – Ovacome and Music for All. Many thanks to our enthusiastic and generous audience.

Supporting Charities

Entry to our concerts is free, but we ask for audience donations to charities as nominated by our orchestra members each concert. Since our first concert we have raised over £15,000 for various charities. Below are just some of the charities and organisations we have proudly supported over the years.
