City Showtunes Orchestra

The City Showtunes Orchestra is an amateur orchestra based in the elegant surroundings of St Mary Aldermary Church in The City of London near St Paul's. Rehearsing once a week each term, we draw our lighthearted repertoire from musicals, movies and popular classics. We give two concerts a year, usually in early summer and at Christmas time.

Spring Concert

We were delighted to play to a full church for our Spring concert, which included medleys from Cats, Aladdin and Les Misérables, to name a few. We are proud to have raised £841 for our nominated charities – Mencap and Diabetes UK. Many thanks to our enthusiastic and generous audience. We hope to see you again at Christmas.

Supporting charities

Entry to our concerts is free, but we ask for audience donations to charities as nominated by our orchestra members each concert. Since our first concert we have raised over £6,500 for various charities. Below are just some of the charities and organisations we have proudly supported over the years.
